About the film 
On the search of inspiration for her new novel, writer Sylvie spies on her neighbors across the street. Their imagined lives and romantic situations initially provide promising material for Sylvie. But when she shares her observational tactics and the resulting work with the mysterious young man Adam, the line between fiction and reality begins to blur. The layered drama ‘Histoires Parallèles’ is the second French-language film by the acclaimed Iranian director Asghar Farhadi ('A Seperation'), who lives in exile. For this film, he drew loose inspiration from Krzysztof Kieślowski’s ‘A Short Film About Love’. ‘Histoires Parallèles’ features an all-star French cast of Isabelle Huppert, Catherine Deneuve, Adam Bessa and Vincent Cassel.
